The Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan approved the law on mutual legal assistance of Kazakhstan and France in criminal cases. Countries will be able to send each other requests for search or confiscation of property, El.kz reports.
The Law "On Ratification of the Treaty between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the French Republic on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters" is aimed at regulating relations between the competent authorities of Kazakhstan and France on the receipt and provision of legal assistance in criminal matters. The adoption of the Law will increase the effectiveness of cooperation between both countries in the fight against crime.
