Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zulfiya Suleimenova and Minister of Foreign Trade and International Development Of Finland Ville Skinnari held a bilateral meeting, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the ministry.
"Finland is our key partner in Northern Europe. We value the constructive and open political dialogue established between Kazakhstan and Finland at the highest level. Over the past decades, Astana and Helsinki have built a constructive political dialogue and established mutually beneficial trade and economic ties," Zulfiya Suleimenova said.
During the event, the parties discussed the issues of mutual cooperation following the results of the 12th meeting of the Kazakh-Finnish intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
At the same time, today Kazakhstan has a huge potential for investment, and also provides new opportunities for mutually beneficial business in all sectors.
The parties also discussed issues of climate, development of forestry and water management, carbon neutrality, transition to a "green economy" and a system for trading greenhouse gas emissions, etc.
