Kazakhstan and Egypt strengthen cooperation in pharmaceutical sector

The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Arab Republic of Egypt Askar Zhengis held a meeting with the management of Egyptian International Pharmaceutical Industries Co. (EIPICO) to discuss plans for implementing an investment project in Kazakhstan.

Ahmed Kelani, Chairman of EIPICO, said the company is moving forward with plans to build a modern full-cycle pharmaceutical plant in Kazakhstan, El.kz cites Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

He noted that the project is entering a practical stage, with a site already selected. EIPICO’s leadership is expected to visit Kazakhstan soon to discuss organizational and technical aspects of the plant’s development.

Kazakh Ambassador stressed that the government will continue to provide strong support for the initiative, highlighting the development of the pharmaceutical sector and expansion of local drug production as strategic priorities.
