Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Roman Vassilenko held a meeting with Ambassador of the Czech Republic Pavol Šepeľák, El.kz cites MFA.
The parties discussed in detail the full spectrum of issues related to further strengthening the longstanding friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Czechia. They also reaffirmed the commitment to fostering diverse forms of mutually beneficial cooperation, building upon the agreements reached during the official visit of Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala to Kazakhstan and the meeting of Deputy Prime Minster – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York last September.
Discussing the expansion of trade, economic, and investment partnership, the diplomats emphasized the dynamic growth of trade turnover between the countries. They outlined the potential for cooperation in the industrial production, as well as in the military technical, transport and logistics spheres. The resumption of direct flights between Astana and Prague slated for May 2024 was warmly welcomed.
Discussing cooperation in the humanitarian and cultural spheres, Roman Vassilenko expressed gratitude to the Czech government for supporting the significant project on the reintroduction of Przewalski’s horses to Kazakhstan.
Concluding the meeting, the parties affirmed their commitment to continue a trust-based dialogue across all levels.
