The Prime Minister stressed that CNPC has been successfully operating in Kazakhstan for over 25 years, being one of the important strategic partners in the energy industry.
"Over the years of joint work, we have developed trusting partnerships in the implementation of major projects in all sectors of the oil and gas industry. The Government of Kazakhstan is determined to deepen our strategic cooperation," Alikhan Smailov said.
In turn, Huang Yongzhang noted that a number of joint projects had been successfully implemented earlier, many of which are considered an example of mutually beneficial cooperation, and outlined the company's interest in expanding its activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"China and Kazakhstan are good neighbors. CNPC is ready to contribute to the further strengthening of bilateral relations between our countries," Huang Yongzhang said.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed issues of oil exports, improving the working conditions of CNPC employees in Kazakhstan, as well as a number of other topical issues.
