Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan sign memorandums of cooperation in medicine

The fourth meeting of the Ministers of Health of the Organization of Turkic States is being held, at which key issues of strengthening cooperation between the OTS countries are being discussed,El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh delegation headed by Vice Minister Yerbol Ospanov took part in the discussion of the exchange of medical personnel, best practices and innovations in medicine.

At the forum in Baku and Shusha, the participating countries signed the Joint Declaration of the IV Meeting of Health Ministers and the Protocol of Intent "Türktransplant" to improve transplantation practices in OTS countries.

Bilateral meetings were also held with the heads of delegations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Turkey, during which the parties discussed topical issues of the development of health care systems of our countries.

In addition, the OTS meeting platform made it possible to conclude memorandums between the leading national scientific health centers of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in the field of pediatric oncology, cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, pulmonology, as well as traumatology and surgery. The Azerbaijani side held a presentation of the "electronic prescription" (E-prescription) platform.

At the end of the meeting, Vice Minister Yerbol Ospanov said that in 2025 Kazakhstan to hold the next V meeting of the Ministers of Health of the Organization of Turkic States.
