Sharipa Urazbayeva's film "Kyzyl Anar" ("Red Pomegranate") enters the main competition of the Munich Film Festival, El.kz reports with reference to Armandastar films.
The film is scheduled to be shown on June 25 and 28, 2022.
The plot of the film "Kyzyl Anar" is the story of a woman who survived violence and seeks for justice. According to Sharipa Urazbayeva, this is not another social drama, but a poetic movie, where a real story is intertwined with a parable. The main roles in the film are played by Ainur Bermukhambetova and Bolat Momynzhanov.
Kyzyl Anar is a joint project with Armandastar Films. The shooting of the picture took place in record time - only 12 days in the Almaty region.
Munich Film Festival is the fourth prestigious film festival, which will show the picture "Kyzyl Anar". Earlier in 2021, the film "Kyzyl Anar" entered the main competition program of the 26th Busan Film Festival in South Korea in the nomination "New Currents" ("New Trends").
In March 2022, Sharipa Urazbayeva's film was a participant at one of the largest Asian Film Festivals Osaka Asian Film Festival in Japan. And in the fall of 2022, the film "Kyzyl Anar" will be presented at the 21st International Film Festival Imagineindia Film Festival in Madrid, Spain.
At the moment, Sharipa Urazbayeva and Armandastar Films have completed work on the new film "TUL". This is the story about the small but strong girl. The heroine bravely defends herself in a cruel external world, at the same time trying to pacify her inner demons - complexes, self-rejection, growing up.
