Specialists of the water industry of Kazakhstan will begin training in the United States and Australia within the framework of the Bolashak program, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2024, two employees of the Ministry of Water Resources will be trained in the United States, and another specialist will go to Australia for a master's degree. This year, at the initiative of the department, the areas of "Hydrogeology" and "Water Resources" were added to the list of educational programs "Bolashak", which allows Kazakhstani students to study these specialties abroad.

Vice Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Bolat Bekniyaz stressed the importance of improving the skills of specialists:

"To date, agreements have been reached with China, the Netherlands, France and international organizations on joint training and exchange of experience. In the Netherlands, for example, three workshops on flood risk management were held this year, allowing 50 professionals to deepen their knowledge."

In the summer, Kazvodkhoz specialists completed a three-month course in Sapporo, Japan. The deputy director of the Kyzylorda branch of the enterprise also exchanged experience in South Korea.

These initiatives are aimed at developing the professionalism of water industry employees and introducing international best practices in water resources management in Kazakhstan.
