The national atomic company Kazatomprom announced the conclusion of a long-term agreement on the supply of uranium with the China National Uranium Corporation Limited, El.kz reports with reference to the national company.
"Kazatomprom's main strategic course is aimed at meeting market needs through the extraction, processing and sale of uranium concentrate, which leads to the strengthening of long-term value for all market participants.
The conclusion of the agreement with a Chinese energy giant such as CNUC underlines Kazatomprom's recognised reliability as a preferred supplier in the international nuclear fuel market," commented Seitzhan Zhanybekov, Kazatomprom's Director of Strategy and Marketing.
