Kazakh tennis players Eva Korysheva and Daniel Tazabekov were recognized as the best foreign players of 2023 in the Tennis Europe series, El.kz reports citing the press service of the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
Eva, 14, and Daniel, 16, were awarded the title of "Foreign Player of the Year" (non-EU) by the Tennis Europe Tour. Korysheva started the year by winning a tournament in Istanbul, and then found success in first-class competitions in Belgium. She finished the year ranked 18th in the Tennis Europe rankings with an impressive singles record of 24 wins and 5 losses (83% win rate). In addition, Eva added two doubles titles to her collection.
Tazabekov, who competed in seven Tennis Europe tournaments in 2023, showed excellent results, which allowed him to take 20th place in the annual ranking. His win-loss record this year was 15/7 (68%). Daniel won two doubles titles: at the Apple Bowl in Avilés, Spain (first category) and in Tolentino, Italy (first category).
