President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay to discuss the implementation of Kazakhstan's initiatives and priorities within the framework of the chairmanship of the organization, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.
Kairat Sarybay informed the President on the progress in the institutional strengthening of the forum. He noted the significant successes achieved thanks to Kazakhstan's active participation in the transformation of CICA into an international organization.
President Tokayev noted the importance of the consistent development of the association, focusing on the need to increase the effectiveness of the CICA permanent structures. He also noted the importance of expanding the geography and external relations of the forum.
The Head of State assured that Kazakhstan will continue to pay special attention to the activities of the CICA Secretariat and provide it with comprehensive support at all levels, contributing to further strengthening cooperation and interaction in Asia.
