Kazakh President receives Ambassador of China Zhang Xiao

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.

The President noted that Kazakhstan and China are linked by strong ties of friendship, mutual trust and respect, which contributes to the dynamic development of bilateral relations. According to Tokayev, cooperation between the countries covers a wide range of areas:

- Active political dialogue

- Growth of trade and economic ties

- Cultural exchanges and educational programs

- Joint scientific projects

- Cooperation in the field of security.

Tokayev also noted the successful interaction between Kazakhstan and China in the international arena within the framework of the UN, SCO, CICA and the Central Asia-China format.

The Chinese ambassador expressed gratitude for the support and reaffirmed Beijing's readiness to continue to develop a comprehensive strategic partnership.

The Kazakh President awarded Zhang Xiao with the Dostyk Order of grade II.
