Kazakh PM hosts Economic Demonopolisation Commission meeting

Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov held a regular meeting of the Economic Demonopolisation Commission, El.kz cites primeminister.kz.

The participants discussed measures to return to state ownership of certain assets that are an integral part of the production process in railway transportation.

The Prime Minister instructed the concerned state agencies to continue active work in this direction.

During the meeting it was also noted that the owners of a number of private companies had addressed proposals to transfer 145 access railway lines into Republican ownership.

Head of the Government instructed to carry out all the necessary procedures to implement these measures.

In addition, members of the Commission reviewed the progress of work to return some oil and gas infrastructure facilities into state ownership.

Summing up the meeting, Alikhan Smailov ordered to accelerate procedures on all issues under consideration to achieve concrete results in the near future.
