Kazakh PM attended the Yenbek–yel muraty event

Ahead of Labor Day, celebrated in the country on the initiative of the President since 2013, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov attended the Yenbek–el mұraty (Labor is the Goal of the Nation) event, where he reviewed ongoing efforts and modern solutions in employment, workforce training, and industrial safety incorporating AI elements, El.kz cites primeminister.kz.

The event showcased the Digital Employment Service platform, which automatically identifies unemployed citizens and offers them jobs. The pilot project covered over 59,000 citizens in the Pavlodar and Mangystau regions; starting in November, the system will be scaled up to other regions.

The Akimat of Astana presented the results of the Joltap program, which trained 22,200 people in vocational and digital skills to help them start businesses or begin freelancing. Of these, 60% secured employment, and about 2,000 individuals launched their own small businesses.

The Digital Platform for TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) Dual Education provides a direct link between students, teachers, and employers. As shown by the example of the Astana College of Catering and Service, graduate employment in their respective specialties reached 93%.

In the area of industrial safety, a suite of digital solutions was presented, including electronic work permits, driver condition monitoring systems, and AI-driven "Smart Helmets" with video analytics to prevent injuries during construction projects.

Currently, 9.4 million people in Kazakhstan are gainfully employed. Since the beginning of the year, over 475,000 citizens have been provided with jobs, and more than 800,000 vacancies are available on the Electronic Labor Exchange. The Government is taking systematic measures to train specialists aligned with real production needs and labor market shifts. A new Employment Program is being developed to advance vocational training and specialist preparation in response to technological and economic changes, with a dedicated focus on developing digital competencies. By the end of the year, occupational standards are planned to cover 600 skilled trades.

Joint specialist training with employers is being strengthened across the TVET system. Dual education now involves 138,000 students across 552 colleges and nearly 11,000 enterprises, while an additional 43,000 students are enrolled under targeted employer quotas.

Olzhas Bektenov noted that the Head of State places special emphasis on the Person of Labor. During the first session of the Қазақстан Халық Кеңесі (People's Council of Kazakhstan), President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlined that “our common task is to create conditions in which every citizen can find their place in life, support their family through honest work, and benefit the Motherland.” Under the Adal Azamat (Honest Citizen) concept, hard work, responsibility, and the pursuit of knowledge are defined as core values.

At the conclusion of the event, state awards were presented to representatives of various professions on behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
