Kazakh pavilion to be presented at 60th Venice Biennale of Arts

During an official visit to Italy, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, made a statement on Kazakhstan's participation in the 60th International Biennale of Contemporary Art in Venice, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan has successfully organized the National Pavilion of the country at one of the world's outstanding exhibitions.

Visitors of the exhibition from all over the world will be able to see the exposition of the project "Jerūiyq: A Look Beyond the Horizon". This is a modern interpretation of an ancient legend about a mythical land called Jerūiyq.

The exhibition will feature one of the first futuristic works in the history of Kazakh art "Earth and Time. Kazakhstan" by Kamil Mullashev, the monumental canvas "A New Child. Rebirth" by Yerbolat Tolepbay, reflecting the spirit of the time.

In addition, Saken Narynov's experimental projects "Six Lives of One Soul" and "The End of the Beginning or the Beginning of the End", and Sergey Maslov's installation "Baikonur-2" will be exhibited.

The The2vvo group, which includes artists Elena Pozdnyakova and Eldar Tagi, will take part in the Biennale with the sound installation "Presence", artist Anvar Musrepov will present an experimental mystical video essay "Alastau".

The participation of Kazakh artists in the art exhibition will be organized with the support of the general sponsor Viled FASHION LLP, Qazaq Oil LLP, Universal Energy Kazakhstan LLP.

It should be noted that the anniversary Biennale of Arts will be held in the historic building of the Navale Museum in Venice for seven months, from April 20 to November 24, 2024.

The International Art Exhibition was  held in Venice in 1895 and soon became one of the most important events in the art world. This exhibition traditionally attracts specialists and art lovers from all over the world, gathering more than 800 thousand visitors in 2022.
