The young opera singer from Kazakhstan made it to the finals of one of the most prestigious vocal competitions in the world.
Performers from nearly 50 countries competed for the opportunity to appear at the gala concert on the renowned Piazzetta di Portofino.
Aigerim Altynbek confidently passed all selection rounds, outperforming 92 contestants.
The CLIP (Concorso Lirico Internazionale di Portofino) competition has been held annually since 2015 and brings together the strongest young vocalists under the age of 32. One of the competition’s key features is its distinguished jury, which includes directors and casting managers from leading opera houses such as La Scala in Milan, the Royal Theatre in Madrid, the Monte Carlo Opera, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the State Theatre of Wiesbaden, and others.
The final stage takes place in the format of an open-air concert on Portofino’s central square, accompanied by a symphony orchestra. It is there that Aigerim Altynbek will perform among the best.
