Kazakh national team starts preparing for World Winter Universiade in Turin

The Winter World University Games 2025 will take place on 13 - 23 January in Turin, bringing together about 2000 athletes from 57 countries,El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan will be represented at the prestigious international tournament by 103 athletes who will perform in 10 disciplines: biathlon, cross-country skiing, ski orienteering, freestyle, figure skating, hockey (men's and women's), paraskiing, alpine skiing and short track.

The grand opening is scheduled to take place on January 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Inalpi Arena, and the closing will take place on January 23 at 8:00 p.m. Competitions will be held in accordance with the schedule of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) from January 11 to 23.
