The concert “Bridge of Times” of the ethno-folklore ensemble “Turan”, tenor Medet Chotabayev and musicians of the State Concert Organization “Qazaqconcert” named after Roza Baglanova”, Dina Meirmanova and Talgar Tolkynkhanuly, took place in the Austrian capital on the stage of the famous concert hall “Ehrbar”, El.kz cites MFA.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Austria organized the concert program as part of the artists' world tour.
In his welcoming speech, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Austria, Alibek Bakayev thanked for a genuine interest in Kazakh culture of music lovers, heads of diplomatic corps and international organizations, as well as Kazakh people living in Austria. He emphasized the importance of the concert organization “Qazaqconcert”, which has more than sixty years of existence and is rightly considered the flagship of Kazakhstan culture. The formation of this organization is associated with the great artists, whose names are written in gold letters in the annals of our country.
The program filled with folk music accompanied by ancient musical instruments such as kyl-kobyz, sybyzgy, dangyra, sherter and sazsyrnai, as well as classical works of Nurgisa Tlendiev and Abay Kunanbaiuly, Dauletkerey Shygaiuly, Giacomo Puccini and Ernesto De Kurtis.
The audience attentively and warmly received the performance and gave the Kazakh artists a standing ovation at the end of the evening. The concert saw a premiere of “Crossroads”, a composition authored by honored worker of Kazakhstan, pianist and composer Aktota Raimkulova, who performed the musical piece herself along with the musicians.
