Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageTwo mobile operators in Kazakhstan have announced the dates for disabling the auto-callback for their subscribers, El.kz reports.
For Kcell and Activ subscribers, the “Micro-call” feature will stop working starting June 30. Until that date, the service will remain available as usual.
The company explained the decision by stating that subscribers are increasingly using messaging apps, voice messages, and other digital communication channels.
Consequently, the demand for auto-callback has significantly declined.
Information on other operators
According to the source, Tele2 and Altel were unable to provide information regarding this service following a verbal inquiry from the editorial office. No corresponding announcements have been posted on the operators' official websites yet.
Earlier, the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development reported plans to ban auto-redial through amendments to the rules for providing communication services. Following these changes, subscribers will be required to receive missed call notifications only via text messages.
