Kazakh Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population developed draft law on Ratification of ILO convention

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed a draft law "On Ratification of the Convention Concerning Minimum Wage Fixing with Special Reference to Developing Countries",  El.kz reports.

The adoption of the draft law will establish a fair level of the minimum wage, taking into account the needs of workers and their households, ensure the further implementation of international standards in terms of setting the level of the minimum wage and reaffirm Kazakhstan's commitment to comply with and implement international norms in this area.

The Ministry emphasizes that the adoption of the bill will not entail negative socio-economic and/or legal consequences.
