In London, within the framework of the 9th meeting of the Kazakh-British intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the international biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"The signing of the Memorandum will contribute to the development of the pharmaceutical industry of Kazakhstan, including increasing the availability of innovative medicines for the population, stimulating manufacturers in expanding the contract production of medicines at production facilities located in Kazakhstan," Timur Sultangaziev, First Vice Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan said.
According to him, strengthening the partnership with the largest British pharmaceutical company will contribute to the integration of the most modern and effective international practices into the health care system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the development of international cooperation and the exchange of experience in the field of healthcare, medical science and education between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
During the signing of the document, the parties discussed the possibility of assisting the British pharmaceutical company in localizing innovative drugs based on Kazakhstani production.
