On September 17, 2024, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH signed an agreement aimed at developing renewable energy sources in Central Asia, El.kz reports.
The purpose of the agreement is to create favorable conditions for the regional and national expansion of the use of renewable energy sources (RES). This agreement will be an important stage in the implementation of Kazakhstan's strategy for the transition to green energy, and is also in line with the global goals of sustainable development and the fight against climate change.
