Kazakh Minister of Ecology meets with Ambassador of Uzbekistan

Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Nysanbayev and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan Bakhtiyor Ibragimov , El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the department.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the participation of the two countries in the 29th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC in Baku.

"We attach great importance to the issues of involving young people in environmental projects, and continue to provide them with comprehensive support", the minister said.

Kazakh Ecology minister invited representatives of the Uzbek side to participate in thematic events dedicated to the role of youth in environmental initiatives, which will be held in the pavilion of Kazakhstan in Baku on November 18 this year.

"I am sure that our cooperation and your support will help us to achieve all our goals," he added.

In addition, the Central Asian Strategy for Promoting a Culture of Sustainable Development and Involvement of Children and Youth in the Climate Agenda for 2024-2030 is expected to be signed on the sidelines of COP-29.

At the end of the event, the parties thanked each other and expressed confidence in the further fruitful cooperation in all areas of bilateral cooperation.
