Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu arrived on an official visit to the Republic of Korea, during which he is scheduled to meet with the country’s leadership, hold talks with Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul, as well as participate in the “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” forum, El.kz cites MFA.
On the first day of the visit, in order to further expand Kazakh-Korean trade, economic and investment cooperation, the head of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry held meetings with representatives of major companies in South Korea.
At the meeting with the management of the Hyundae Hospital the project of construction of a multi-disciplinary hospital for 200 beds in Almaty region was discussed, which is planned to be realized jointly with the Kazakh company “Shin-Line”. Minister Nurtleu noted the importance of this project for the social sphere of Kazakhstan, emphasizing that the construction of the hospital will improve the system of medical services on the Korean model and ensure the use of advanced technologies.
With representatives of With You E&C issues related to the construction of a waste processing plant in Kyzylorda region were discussed, which will be an important step towards achieving carbon neutrality by Kazakhstan by 2060. The plant will contribute to improving the environmental situation and sustainable development of the region’s economy. The company also expressed its readiness to expand the project and establish similar plants in other regions of Kazakhstan.
During the meetings with the heads of Sejong and Seoyon E-HWA companies the projects on production of auto components in Kostanay region were discussed. Korean partners demonstrated high interest in investing in the economy of Kazakhstan and expressed readiness to train local personnel for successful mastering of new technologies.
The Kazakh Foreign Minister emphasized that the Kazakh Government will provide full support for the successful implementation of these initiatives, which contribute to strengthening economic ties between Kazakhstan and South Korea.
