Kazakh Ambassador and Speaker of Swedish Parliament discuss prospects for developing inter-parliamentary dialogue

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Sweden, Olzhas Suleimenov, held discussions with the Speaker of the Riksdag (Parliament) of Sweden, Andreas Norlén, as part of a traditional meeting of the Head of Parliament with representatives of the diplomatic corps,El.kz cites MFA.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for deepening interparliamentary cooperation, exchanging visits, and expanding interaction between the parliamentarians of Kazakhstan and Sweden on international platforms, including the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE PA).

Speaker Norlén expressed interest in enhancing interparliamentary ties with the Central Asian region, which remains important for Northern Europe, including through the “Sweden – Central Asia” Friendship Group
