From May 2025, SCAT Airlines will start operating direct flights from Shymkent to Munich, El.kz reports citing the Kazakh Ministry of Transport .

The new route will be opened on May 27, 2025, flights are scheduled three times a week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The total number of flights between Kazakhstan and Germany will increase from 11 to 14 per week.
