Kassym-Jomart Tokayev holds Security Council Meeting

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev chaired a regular meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.

At the meeting Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy Nurlan Baibazarov, Minister of Defense Ruslan Zhaksylykov and Minister of Industry and Construction Kanat Sharlapayev have presented their reports.

Measures to strengthen the country's defense capability were discussed.

The Security Council adopted decisions to improve the military potential of the state and equip the army with modern weapons and equipment, including the products of domestic defense enterprises.

President Tokayev gave a number of specific instructions to the Government and state bodies to improve the country's military organization.
