Popular blogger and documentary filmmaker Joe Hattab is filming an episode about Kazakhstan  and has already shared footage from a jailau in the Alatau mountains, El.kz reports.

Kazakhstani blogger Dastan Mukhamedrakhim announced the collaborative episode with Hattab. In the published Reels, the documentarian appears wearing a chapan sitting at a dastarkhan in the countryside, tasting Kazakh cuisine, and learning about local traditions.

The footage also shows Hattab riding horseback through a blooming jailau and holding a golden eagle on his arm. In another scene, he is seen lying on a green slope next to a horse, with the Alatau mountains in the background.

Who is Joe Hattab?

Hattab was born in Jordan and raised in Saudi Arabia. In 2016, he left his job as an accountant, took his savings, and set off on a grand journey across Asia.

Today, Hattab is known as one of the most popular travel documentarians on YouTube. He creates films about countries, people, traditions, and daily life, with his episodes garnering millions of views.

Kazakhstan through the eyes of a mega-influencer

According to Dastan Mukhamedrakhim, the episode about Kazakhstan could reach a massive international audience. The footage already features mountains, jailaus, national clothing, the Kazakh table, horses, and berkutchi (eagle hunters).

Hattab often showcases a country through conversations with locals, regional food, lifestyle, and traditions. Consequently, such filming could serve as a significant tourism promotion for Kazakhstan.
