The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, noted the historical significance and relevance of the decision of the First President of the country, Nursultan Nazarbayev, to move the capital, which has become a new national idea, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.

He stressed the need for a fair assessment of Nazarbayev's contribution to this matter, noting that the initiative of the First President is fully consistent with the national interests of Kazakhstan.

Of course, it fully corresponds to our national interests. Therefore, we need to adequately and fairly assess the contribution of Nursultan Nazarbayev to this matter," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

The President also stressed the importance of distinguishing between truth and falsehood and the ability to distinguish good from evil within the framework of the Fair Kazakhstan initiative. He noted that world-famous architects such as Kisho Kurokawa, Norman Foster, Renato Archetti and Manfredi Nicoletti collaborated to create the modern look of the capital Astana.

President Tokayev expressed confidence that today's meeting at the forum will give a new impetus to strengthening friendly relations between the cities. He wished all cities prosperity and success, noting that the development of strong cities is an integral part of Kazakhstan's desire for progress and prosperity.
