In the first five months of 2025, investments in fixed capital aimed at developing Kazakhstan’s tourism sector reached 307.4 billion tenge. This represents a 13.3% increase compared to the same period last year, when the amount was 271.2 billion tenge,El.kz reports citing.
The leading regions in terms of tourism-related investment were:
• Astana – 104.3 billion tenge
• Almaty – 65.9 billion tenge
• Turkistan Region – 14.2 billion tenge
• East Kazakhstan Region – 12.7 billion tenge
• Aktobe Region – 11.3 billion tenge
These figures confirm a steady rise in interest in the tourism sector and demonstrate that the development of tourism infrastructure remains a key focus of Kazakhstan’s socio-economic progress.
