Institution of Ombudsman for protection of consumer rights proposed to be created in Kazakhstan

New measures in the field of consumer protection were considered at a government session chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As Alikhan Smailov noted, in order to achieve more tangible results, further improvement of the legislative framework is required. For this purpose, new amendments to existing laws were developed.

- It is proposed to introduce the institution of the Ombudsman for the Protection of Consumer Rights. He should become the main coordinator for the resolution of all problems and complaints that arise. At the same time, it is necessary to simplify the algorithm for considering consumer complaints as much as possible. It is important to build an effective scheme of interaction: consumer - public association - state," the Prime Minister emphasized.

After the voting procedure in support of the proposed bills, the Head of Government instructed to ensure their submission to the Majilis of the Parliament on time.
