Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageThe opening of the regional center of the International Monetary Fund took place in Almaty, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the akim of Almaty.
Its goal is to develop economic potential in 9 countries: Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
In addition to our country, Uzbekistan and Georgia claimed the right to host the center. In October 2019, the IMF made a decision in favor of Almaty.
The regional centre in Almaty becomes the IMF’s 17th Regional Capacity Development Centre. As the mayor of the city Erbolat Dossaev noted, the creation of the center will contribute to the exchange of knowledge between the participating countries, increase the economic potential and financial stability of the entire region
