The 10th international conference "EdCrunch X: Equal Access and Opportunities", dedicated to the issues of affordable education in Kazakhstan, opened in Almaty. The first speaker of this event, which brought together over 3 thousand participants from different countries, was the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the ministry.
The Minister spoke in detail about the transformations in higher education and the measures taken to ensure high-quality and equal education for all Kazakhstanis. As part of these efforts, work is underway to intensify scientific activities and transform Kazakhstan's universities into centers for the preservation of social and humanitarian knowledge and culture.
"Our task is to form the "Study in Kazakhstan" brand, so that every person, looking at our educational space, says: "I can get diplomas from leading universities in the United States, China, Korea, Germany in Kazakhstan." We are currently implementing a separate programme in this area. A lot of work is also being done in the field of artificial intelligence and digitalization. Within its framework, centers are being opened that carry out the transfer of foreign technologies to Kazakhstan. Similar centers are being opened at Satbayev University, Yessenov University, Kyzylorda University named after Korkyt Ata and other universities. The Unified Platform of Higher Education will start operating, two universities - Satbayev University and East Kazakhstan Technical University - have already launched pilot projects of the digital university," Sayasat Nurbek emphasized.
Also within the framework of the conference, the President of the Pedagogical University of Hong Kong Chi-Kin John Lee and Sayasat Nurbek discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries. As a result of the meeting, the foundation was laid for future relations in the field of teacher education between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong.
