Over 11 mln people already use the eGov Mobile app on a regular basis. They obtain certificates, pay fines, and even process important documents. The active audience of eGov Mobile exceeds 6.4 mln monthly users. El.kz explains how total digitalization has now covered nearly all areas of everyday life.
New services launched every month
In January 2026, the app introduced a voluntary property insurance service. Users can now insure an apartment or a house in just a couple of minutes directly from their smartphone. The product is called Tumar Home and operates on a subscription basis costing 1,500 tenge per month.
The insurance covers basic household risks such as fire or flooding. The maximum payout reaches 500,000 tenge. Half of this amount can be used to repair your own property, while the other half is allocated to compensate damage caused to neighbors. The entire process is fully online, with no paperwork or office visits required.
Artificial intelligence helps users find services
In the summer of 2025, the app received a major update. The key innovation was the smart eGov AIsearch powered by artificial intelligence technologies.
The chatbot understands natural speech and immediately suggests where to tap. For example, if a user types “I want to get a real estate certificate,” the system instantly redirects them to the relevant service. This has made navigation in the app intuitive even for those who are not tech-savvy.
Security takes center stage
In the autumn of 2025, personal data protection was significantly strengthened. Access to the eGov.kz portal now uses two-factor authentication. After entering an electronic digital signature, the system sends an SMS code to the 1414 number. Only after confirming the code does the user gain access to their personal account.
In the mobile app, the process is even simpler. Users can set up login via fingerprint or facial recognition. This is both convenient and secure, as biometric data is extremely difficult to fake. These measures protect users from fraudsters who previously attempted to hack accounts.
Most popular services
The most frequently used service in the app is the certificate of pension contributions. Second place goes to registering with a clinic, which is especially relevant when moving to a new area. Third is the certificate confirming the presence or absence of real estate ownership.
A special mention goes to the Law and Order service, launched in June 2025. It allows users to report offenses directly through the app without calling the police. This has become a convenient tool for citizens who want to contact law enforcement quickly and anonymously.
What lies ahead for mobile public services
Developers continue to simplify interaction with the government. The app already includes a Life Situations section, which groups all necessary services around specific events. The birth of a child, loss of documents, retirement - the system itself suggests what needs to be done.
By 2026, eGov Mobile offers more than 220 different services. Experts predict that within two to three years this number will exceed 300. The main trend is personalization, with the system recommending relevant services based on an analysis of the user’s previous actions. Digital government is becoming not just convenient, but a truly smart assistant in everyday life.
