Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting of the investment headquarters, during which the issues of providing land plots in the form of state in-kind grants under investment contracts were considered, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Almas Aidarov said that state in-kind grants are provided in accordance with the List of Priority Activities both in the production of goods and in the production of services and fall under special cases that do not require bidding (auctions). In-kind grants are allocated by akimats in coordination with the Committee on Land Management of the Ministry of Agriculture.
From 2005 to June 2023, the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan concluded 1438 investment contracts, of which 216 were with the provision of a land grant in kind and more than 37 thousand jobs were created.
Within the framework of these contracts, investments in the amount of 2.2 trillion tenge were attracted, including 125 contracts in the service sector (construction of warehouses, facilities in the field of education, healthcare, hotel services, passenger transportation).
The Prime Minister instructed the responsible state bodies to update regulatory legal acts in order to improve the law enforcement practice of allocating land grants in kind.
