Horse meat imports increased in Kazakhstan

In January-December 2022, 157.1 thousand tons of horse meat were produced in Kazakhstan, which is 3.9% more than in the same period of 2021, El.kz reports with reference to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the same time, with the growth of production, imports also increased.

So, for 12 months of last year, 3.6 thousand tons of horse meat were imported, while in 2021 2.4 thousand tons were imported. Thus, the growth was 50.2%.
