Heads of State congratulates Tokayev on holding elections to the Kurultai

Heads of state and leaders of international organizations have sent their congratulations to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the successful holding of the first elections to the Kurultai. In their messages, leaders highlighted the active participation of citizens, the significance of political reforms, and expressed confidence in Kazakhstan’s development.

Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the high voter turnout and noted that the election results demonstrated support for Kazakhstan’s political course.

“The high voter turnout and the results of the popular vote clearly demonstrate broad support for the policy pursued under your leadership to strengthen domestic political stability, ensure dynamic socio-economic development, and safeguard the country’s interests on the international stage,” the Russian leade said.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev described the elections as a historic event. According to him, they mark the beginning of a new stage in the improvement of Kazakhstan’s political system and the strengthening of the role of Parliament.

“This historic event marks the beginning of a new stage in improving the country’s political system, enhancing the effectiveness of public administration, and significantly strengthening the role of Parliament.

The active participation of citizens in the elections was a clear indication of broad public support for the constitutional and socio-political reforms being carried out under your wise leadership, aimed at ensuring Kazakhstan’s sustainable development and further enhancing its standing and influence on the international stage.

We are sincerely pleased with the significant progress being made through the large-scale transformations taking place today in the land of the fraternal people of Kazakhstan, with whom we share centuries-old ties of friendship and good-neighborly relations,” the leader of the neighboring country noted.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov expressed confidence that the new Kurultai would contribute to the development of Kazakhstan’s state and socio-political institutions.

“I am deeply convinced that the Kurultai, established as a result of the free expression of the will of citizens, will make a significant contribution to strengthening the statehood of the Republic of Kazakhstan, improving its legal and socio-political institutions, and ensuring the country’s stable socio-economic development.

I note with satisfaction that the consistent reforms carried out under your leadership will continue to serve the long-term interests of the state, enhancing the well-being of the people and contributing to the country’s further development.

I am confident that Kyrgyz-Kazakh strategic partnership and allied relations will continue to be consistently strengthened and enriched with new substance in the interests of the peoples of both countries, while contributing to peace, stability, and development throughout Central Asia,” Sadyr Japarov said.

In his congratulatory message, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon placed particular emphasis on citizens’ participation in the vote. He linked the election results to public support for the course pursued by Kazakhstan’s leadership.

“The active participation of citizens in the voting and its results represent yet another direct manifestation of the national unity of the people of Kazakhstan and their firm support for your state policy aimed at implementing constructive transformations to strengthen the socio-political system and ensure sustainable socio-economic development in the country,” the President of Tajikistan emphasized.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev also congratulated Tokayev and expressed confidence that the elections would become an important component of Kazakhstan’s further transformation. He paid particular attention to the development of bilateral relations.

“I am confident that this important event, symbolizing the beginning of a new historic stage in the socio-political life of Kazakhstan, will contribute to the comprehensive development of your country, the continuation of the large-scale reforms you are implementing, and the achievement of the tasks ahead. I wish the Kurultai every success in its work.

President of the State of Israel Isaac Herzog, in his congratulatory message, highlighted the changes taking place in Kazakhstan and linked them to the country’s strengthening and the enhancement of its international standing.

“During my historic visit to Kazakhstan earlier this year, I was impressed by the significant progress the country continues to make under your wise leadership. I am confident that these transformations will continue to contribute to the unity, enhanced international standing, and further prosperity of Kazakhstan,” Isaac Herzog said.

CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev also commented on the elections. He highlighted the work of international observers and the organization of the electoral process.

“Observers from the Commonwealth of Independent States noted the high level of organization and professionalism of election commission members at all levels, which made it possible to conduct the electoral campaign in strict compliance with national legislation—openly, transparently, and publicly,” the CIS Secretary General said.

Thus, the messages from foreign leaders and representatives of international organizations share several common assessments: the significance of the first elections to the Kurultai, citizen participation, the continuation of political reforms, and expectations of further strengthening Kazakhstan’s international relations.

Particular attention in the messages was devoted to Kazakhstan’s relations with neighboring states and strategic partners. The leaders of Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and other countries expressed their readiness to further develop bilateral cooperation against the backdrop of a new stage in Kazakhstan’s political development.
