Heads of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan hold talks

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with the President of Azerbaijan, El.kz reports citing Akorda.

The Head of State congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his convincing victory in the presidential elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan and on the upcoming COP-29 summit in Baku in 2024.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev praised the level of Kazakh-Azerbaijani cooperation, which is developing very dynamically, filled with new content and joint major projects.

The President of Azerbaijan stressed the strengthening of fraternal ties with Kazakhstan. During the talks, the leaders discussed issues of trade, economic, transit, transport, energy, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as interaction in the fields of digitalization, food security, and renewable energy sources.

In addition, the prospects for the implementation of breakthrough investment projects, which will become new points of growth for the economies of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, were considered.
