Head of State visits Embassy of Iran in Kazakhstan

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Astana and expressed sympathy and support to the Iranian people in connection with the death of President Ebrahim Raisi and members of the government delegation as a result of a helicopter crash, El.kz reports.

"It is with deep sorrow that I received the news of the untimely death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi and members of the government delegation. Ebrahim Raisi is a great son of his nation who faithfully served his homeland. He will forever remain in our memory as a wise leader, an authoritative politician and an outstanding figure who made a huge contribution to strengthening cooperation between the two countries. On behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and on my own behalf, I express my deep condolences to the fraternal Iranian people, the Head of State wrote.
