Addressing the participants, the Head of State noted that this dialogue platform is organised to exchange ideas on the most pressing global and regional issues, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.

"Humanity is facing unprecedented challenges – regional conflicts, economic instability, climate change, food and migration crises. All these global problems affect us and require a joint solution. Our future depends on the ability to join forces and come to a consensus," Tokayev said.

The President also drew attention to the growing role of the middle powers in the context of polarization of the world and the weakening of international institutions: "When major powers are engaged in rivalry or cannot reach a compromise, it is the middle powers that often become mediators, supporting the foundations of global cooperation," the President added.

The President stressed that the recent referendum on the construction of a NPP reflects a commitment to democratic values.

President Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan has attracted $400 billion in direct investment and plans to attract another $150 billion by 2029.

The President stated the importance of stability and regional cooperation: "We are committed to close cooperation with all neighbors in Central Asia, understanding that this strengthens both our own potential and the potential of the entire region."

The leader of Kazakhstan stressed that Kazakhstan stands for strengthening the UN and a reformist approach to the activities of the Security Council to increase the effectiveness of the organization.

The Head of State also focused on nuclear disarmament and environmental issues.

Tokayev recalled that Kazakhstan voluntarily renounced its nuclear arsenal and supports global efforts to non-proliferate. He also expressed his readiness to continue supporting international environmental initiatives, such as the Paris Agreement.

The President noted that Kazakhstan intends to strengthen the status of middle powers in international forums, including the UN Security Council.

"We strive to become active participants in building a fair and sustainable global system. Together with partners, Kazakhstan will contribute to the creation of a more balanced world order," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev concluded.
