Head of State receives President of National Olympic Committee Gennady Golovkin

The Kazakh President was informed about the work of the NOC and the plans for the near future, El.kz reports.

Gennady Golovkin reported on the measures taken jointly with the Kazakh Ministry of Tourism and Sport to improve the sports infrastructure, athletes’ training, and to raise the authority of the country at the international arena.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the NOC faces serious tasks to promote and strengthen Olympic sports.

The President stressed that it is necessary to ensure further improvement of the results of our teams at world competitions.

The Head of State congratulated Gennady Golovkin on his appointment as Chairman of the Olympic Commission of the International Boxing Federation (World Boxing).
