Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hellenic Republic Yerlan Baudarbek-Kozhatayev held a meeting with the Chairperson of the Investment and Trade Promotion Agency «Enterprise Greece» Maira Myrogianni,El.kz cites MFA.
During the meeting the parties discussed the possibility of realization in Greece of potential «niche» investment projects of «Kazakh Invest» in such sectors as agriculture, light industry, construction and tourism.
Ambassador Yerlan Baudarbek-Kozhatayev informed about the development of cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Union in the field of critical raw materials, handing over to the Greek business community a list of Kazakh companies producing metals and existing deposits.
Maira Myrogianni, who is also Secretary General for International Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, said that the Greek side supports the implementation of the MOU on strategic partnership in the field of sustainable raw materials, batteries and value chains of «green» hydrogen. She noted that Greece seeks to intensify trade and economic co-operation with Kazakhstan, proposing to strengthen interaction between the agencies «Kazakh Invest» and «Enterprise Greece».
Maira Myrogianni also expressed interest in projects in the field of digitalization, implemented in Kazakhstan by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, noting that the relevant investment proposals of the Kazakh side will be brought to the attention of Greek companies
