Germany interested in implementing projects in Kazakhstan

During the State Head's visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, the leadership of the Committee for Investments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and "NC "KAZAKH INVEST"  JSC held a series of bilateral meetings with German companies. The parties discussed the prospects for implementing investment projects in Kazakhstan, El.kz cites investgov.kz.

During the meeting with the Chairman of the Board of "Sana Kliniken AG", Thomas Lemke, the German company expressed interest in constructing hospitals and medical centers in Kazakhstan, as well as providing services to existing hospitals. "Sana Kliniken AG" intends to build small and medium-sized medical centers with an area of approximately 5000 sq.m.

Representatives of "Innari Nature Irrigation" shared plans for implementing a project to localize the production of underground irrigation systems. Managing Director Jan Friedel emphasized that the company already has positive experience working in Kazakhstan, having implemented a project for the production of drip irrigation systems in the Pavlodar region.

The Managing Director of "G. Zwiehoff GmbH", Stefan Zwiehoff, expressed interest in the phased localization of the production of traction modules in Kazakhstan, in connection with the active development of the railway industry in the country. The Kazakh side mentioned that in the latest address by the State Head, the task was set to support the processing industry, including exempting investors from taxes and other mandatory payments for the first three years of operation in Kazakhstan.

The Managing Director of "Medal Group GmbH", Anuar Umbetayev, provided an update on the company's current projects in Kazakhstan. Currently, the holding company is implementing projects for the construction of plants for the production of glass packaging (Kyzylorda region), fibercement, and aerated concrete (region to be determined). The company is considering the possibility of implementing new projects, taking into account the successful experience of cooperation in current directions.

Discussions with the "Germany Trade & Invest" (GTAI) economic development agency focused on the exchange of experiences and best practices in attracting investments. The German side expressed readiness to expand relations, noting the high interest of local companies in implementing projects in Kazakhstan.

During meetings with representatives of "DMG Mori" (engineering for aerospace, automotive, and medical industries), "S+R Automatisierungstechnik GmbH" (engineering), and "Kuxmann Landmaschinen GmbH" (agricultural implements), German companies were offered the opportunity to localize production in Kazakhstan.

During the meetings, Ardak Zebeshev, Chairman of the Committee for Investments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted that Germany is an important partner of Kazakhstan in the European Union, having invested over $6 billion in the country over the last 15 years.

In turn, Meirzhan Yussupov, Chairman of the Board of "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" JSC, discussed investment opportunities in Kazakhstan, state support measures, and invited German partners to jointly implement investment projects in Kazakhstan. According to the Head of the national company, the portfolio of investment projects consists of 63 projects with a total value exceeding $55 billion.
