Minister of Culture of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva and President-Director of the Louvre Laurence des Car held a meeting dedicated to the development of cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and France, El.kz reports.
The meeting discussed the issues of organizing joint seminars and conferences for the exchange of experience between the museums of Kazakhstan and the Louvre.
The parties stressed the importance of not only exhibition cooperation, but also research work. The possibility of conducting archaeological research, issuing scientific publications and sharing experience in the museum sphere was discussed.
Aida Balayeva noted that it is planned to open a restoration center in the National Museum of Kazakhstan, which requires the support of the Louvre in scientific training and organization of exhibitions.
As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed confidence that cooperation within the framework of cultural projects will strengthen bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and France, contributing to mutual understanding between peoples.
