Free courses for exporters launched in Kazakhstan

A new training program on cross-border trade management has been launched in Astana, El.kz reports.Now Kazakhstani businessmen can take courses for free in such areas as international trade, rules of export procedures, quality standards, transit routes. In addition, exporters can upgrade their skills according to the main criteria of the European Union for markets. This initiative aims to increase business knowledge and awareness of export issues.

Both existing and potential exporters will be able to participate in the program. It will be possible to undergo training both online and offline. The author of the program is the International Trade Center, which was formed by the WTO together with the UN, with the financial support of the EU.

The International Trade Center monitors the problems of exporters, markets of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

In Kazakhstan, the implementation of the training project is carried out by QazTrade JSC. Since August of this year, the company's trainers have been conducting seminars and trainings for businessmen from all regions of the country. The learning process is simplified by a specially created electronic platform of the QazTrade Academy.

 According to Johannes Baur, Head of the Cooperation Department of the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan, the main objective of the project is to help small export companies cope with global trade challenges.

"The goal of the program is to help small and medium-sized companies use their capabilities to cope with global challenges in international trade. It is nice to see that Kazakhstan occupies a key place in Central Asia in these processes. The fact that the country is mastering world and European standards in the field of trade, adapting its educational systems to rapidly changing conditions," Johannes Baur said.

Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Kairat Torebayev, emphasizes that in our country much attention is paid to improving the competencies of entrepreneurs, and the main task is to stimulate industries with export potential.

According to the authors of the project, the training program will help domestic business to prepare for the export of their product, both in the region and around the world. The program is built on the principle of studying cases from the practice of other players successfully engaged in export. The manager, SME Trade Academy Sean Lake, believes that the effectiveness of such courses lies precisely in their practical and problem orientation.
