Foreign tourists spend over $2.6 billion in Kazakhstan

At the end of 2024, foreign tourists spent over 2.6 billion US dollars in Kazakhstan, El.kz reports citing the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

Attracting tourists from abroad not only contributes to the inflow of foreign currency, but also has a positive impact on the development of related industries - transport, hotel business, services.

According to official statistics, the average spending of one tourist from far abroad during a visit to Kazakhstan ranges from 1200 to 1500 US dollars.

The highest spenders were tourists from China ( USD 307 million); Germany ( USD 56 million); Turkey (USD 53 million); USA (USD 47 million).

Experts note that such indicators show an increase in interest in Kazakhstan as a tourist destination and the potential for further expansion of the industry.
