Kazakhstan is becoming more and more popular among foreign tourists. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan noted an increase in the number of visitors from different countries, El.kz reports.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to September 2023, about 834.9 thousand foreign tourists visited Kazakhstan, which is 37% more compared to the same period in 2022.
In addition to tourists from neighboring countries, a significant number of travelers came from remote regions. In the first nine months of 2023, most tourists came from Russia (356 thousand), China (75,131 people), Turkey (41,134 tourists), India (34,757) and the United States (28,160).
The representative of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, emphasized the growing interest of foreign tourists in the country. In 2022, more than 900 thousand foreign guests visited Kazakhstan, and in 2023 this figure is expected to be even higher. He also noted that the country has many beautiful places that attract foreigners with their natural beauty. The Ministry is actively working to create an unforgettable experience for every traveler who visits Kazakhstan.
