Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Iran discuss state and prospects for development of bilateral relations

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian within the framework of the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Caspian littoral countries, El.kz cites MFA.

The parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of relations between Kazakhstan and Iran, as well as exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda.

The Kazakh Foreign Minister stressed that Iran is one of the most important partners in the region, and the two countries are linked by fraternal relations based on cultural and historical heritage. "Our bilateral political dialogue continues to demonstrate high dynamics of mutually beneficial development," Nurtleu said.

Particular emphasis was placed on the intensification of trade, economic and investment ties. The parties agreed on the need to take concrete steps to realize the existing potential. The Kazakh side expressed its readiness to expand the list of exported products by 75 commodity items for a total of 250 million US dollars.

The foreign ministers agreed to make efforts to jointly promote mutually beneficial bilateral relations.
