Flying taxi to appear in Alatau City

Kazakhstan is building the city of the future: Alatau City will become the first “smart” metropolis featuring flying transport, El.kz reports citing Almaty Press.

Alatau City is set to become a symbol of a new era in architecture, technology, and sustainable development. This is more than just a new city; it is an experimental hub where solutions for “smart living” will be implemented, including digital governance, eco-friendly energy sources, and even aeromobility — a next-generation flying transport system.

The project was presented during the panel session “Alatau City: The Future Is Now” at the AIF Forum. The concept was developed in line with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s vision for innovation and improving citizens’ quality of life.

“New technologies will not only bring comfort but also create dozens of new professions,” said Wong Heang Fine, Chairman of Asia Infrastructure Solutions(Singapore) and the project’s chief consultant.
