The second day of the Central Asian Media Forum started with a panel session "International organizations are a bridge of cooperation", El.kz reports.
Khalil Akıncı, First Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, spoke at it.
He called on countries to strengthen international cooperation.
"The members of the Turkic Council should not be in confrontation, but should cooperate with each other. Turkic countries are located from Europe to Asia, there are our neighbors, and we must cooperate with them. We also have a role to play in resolving internal conflicts. Our economy is complicated. There are problems that should be solved only through cooperation.
For example, water shortages. Another important issue is a secure regional neighborhood. Our neighbor Afghanistan, if something happens there, it directly affects us. We have a historical commonality with them. We must contribute to the establishment of security and stability in this region," the speaker said.
